Recovery Program Q & A

What is a recovery program?

A recovery program is a pathway to overcoming substance abuse and leaving it behind for good. At Infinity Care, the recovery program is built on a foundation of many years of experience in treating patients struggling with substance use disorder (SUD).

When might I need to consider a recovery program?

If you’re starting to realize that your substance use isn’t under control, it’s time to consider a recovery program.

Transitioning away from using substances that you’ve come to rely on isn’t an easy job. You need specific help from people who understand what you’re dealing with. If you’re struggling with any of the following drugs, Infinity Care can provide that expert help.

  • Opioid medications, such as oxycodone, hydrocodone, fentanyl, and others
  • Illicit opioids, such as heroin
  • Alcohol
  • Amphetamines
  • Cocaine
  • Marijuana

The team can also help with other substance use, such as nicotine.

If you’ve tried to cut back, stop, and take your life back but failed to do so, the recovery program has the support you need.

How does the recovery program work?

Although the recovery program is customizable, some of the main focuses are:

  • SUD evaluation
  • Education about SUD
  • Individual counseling to understand your challenges and learn new skills
  • Group therapy to get support from others with SUD
  • Family therapy to help your loved ones understand and support your recovery
  • Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to reduce withdrawal symptoms and relapse risk
  • Step-by-step objective-based plan to reach your recovery goals
  • Crisis stabilization for emergencies like relapse and mental crises

More than 25% of people living with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and/or other mental health disorders also have SUD. If you’re experiencing challenges in both areas, the team customizes your treatment plan.

You may also need medication management for medications such as antidepressants, mood stabilizers, or antipsychotic drugs. Part of medication management involves reviewing all possible drug interactions to make sure you’re safe.

How long does a recovery program take?

The most intensive phases of your recovery program happen in the first 30-90 days, based on your recovery needs. But recovery is an evolving and continuing process, so you get continued long-term support when needed. They can also help you find a sober living home.
